The Bears answered their biggest question with Maye. Grade: A-. Start where it matters. The Bears took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.
The Johnson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The phones were where this weekend was really won. On value alone, Pearl makes the weekend a net positive.
They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
