Thrash should have been long gone. The Cowboys pounced, and earned a B-.

Call it larceny. Jamari Thrash sat on the board until the 216th pick, and the Cowboys did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They are betting Eboigbe proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
