For all the boxes ticked, the Cardinals skipped the loudest one: edge rusher is exactly as bare as it was. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Every board in the league had Mills lower, and that gap is the story. They banked enough surplus on Shough to cover a lot of smaller sins.

They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
