The Lions won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Lions should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The cost of the Spann-Ford reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
