A costly weekend of dealing drags the Chiefs to a D+. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Chiefs took Jordan Travis at the 111th overall pick, roughly 46 spots before his name belonged. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D+ is the result.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Irving. The veteran additions, DJ Moore chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
