Larceny in the Round 7 slot lands the Vikings a B-, Williams and all.

The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: Kyle Williams, the No. 196 name on the board, sitting there at slot 245 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Phillips to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Job largely done: safety settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
