Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the 49ers spent No. 228 on Roman Hemby, a name most had 44 spots down the list. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

The Chambliss steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
