Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesD+ FutureA
The Jets checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Jets spent the Round 6 slot on Isaac TeSlaa, a name the board had a full 33 spots lower. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Emmanwori. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In slot 12 they get a seam-stretching tight end. More want than need.
Pick42 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Nick Emmanwori in the 42nd pick, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick73 Rnd3 Ozzy Trapilo
A premium they did not need to pay, Ozzy Trapilo a notch or two before his time. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick110 Rnd4 Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams in the 110th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick145 Rnd5 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
Antwaun Powell-Ryland at Round 5, Pick 7 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick162 Rnd5 CJ West
They left a pile of value on the table to take CJ West this early at the Round 5 slot. The roster fit checks out.
Pick186 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jay Higgins well ahead of where he belonged. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick207 Rnd6 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa in the 207th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
