Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

The Bills let Gould fall and pounced. Final grade: C. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Anthony Gould got past him. The Bills do not have to explain a thing at pick No. 200. A mixed bag that lands at C.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
So much rides on Rome Odunze that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze at Round 1, Pick 8 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick128
Rnd4
Beau Brade
By-the-book stuff, Beau Brade at the 128th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134
Rnd4
Mekhi Wingo
Mekhi Wingo at pick No. 134 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick143
Rnd5
Javon Foster
The board fumbled Javon Foster all the way to slot 143, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick144
Rnd5
Josh Newton
You do not let a cornerback like Josh Newton reach the Round 5 slot and blink. They did not. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick160
Rnd5
Jalyx Hunt
Value with a capital V on Jalyx Hunt in pick 160, a genuine coup. The roster fit checks out.
Pick163
Rnd5
Jaylin Simpson
Circle this one: Jaylin Simpson at the 163rd pick is a fall that decides a draft. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick189
Rnd6
Dylan Laube
They robbed the room for Dylan Laube here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick200
Rnd6
Anthony Gould
A wide receiver of that caliber at the Round 6 slot is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick204
Rnd6
Fabien Lovett
Fabien Lovett in pick 204 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick248
Rnd7
Steele Chambers
Taking Steele Chambers in pick No. 248 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
