You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Vikings did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

Everything downstream of Drake Maye depends on Drake Maye, and the building knows it. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. That Muhammad pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
