Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureC-
The Bills worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bills came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. The bottom line is a respectable B.

If Dankwah pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

The Bills paired the rookies with proven help, Puka Nacua leading the way.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Jackson Powers-Johnson
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a blindside protector. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick53 Rnd2 Kiran Amegadjie
Kiran Amegadjie in pick 53 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick130 Rnd4 Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick136 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
Mohamed Kamara at the 136th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick200 Rnd6 Trente Jones
They did well to land Trente Jones in the 200th pick, just ahead of his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick218 Rnd6 Evan Williams
Nothing to complain about; Evan Williams went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Pick228 Rnd7 Josh Proctor
A reach on Josh Proctor in slot 228; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick250 Rnd7 Jordan Whittington
Jordan Whittington at pick No. 250 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick253 Rnd7 Anim Dankwah
A big swing on Anim Dankwah at slot 253, well ahead of any board in the building. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
