The Jets let Neal fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

The Jets did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Julian Neal fell into No. 103.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Perkins Jr. pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board.

The Jets clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

In the end it comes back to Arvell Reese, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
