Draft Grade — Giants
Overall

FutureC
The Giants drew a line under the quarterback search with Ward: D-. Somebody took the Giants to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.
The whole projection now runs through Cam Ward; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Pierce where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Travis Hunter
In the 3rd pick they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value.
Pick6
Rnd1
Cam Ward
In pick No. 6 they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Pick180
Rnd6
Hollin Pierce
They robbed the room for Hollin Pierce here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick219
Rnd7
JJ Pegues
They barely believed it either: JJ Pegues still on the board at the 219th overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick246
Rnd7
Caleb Ransaw
Caleb Ransaw in Round 7, Pick 30 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
