The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Walker: B+. The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Devontez Walker, the No. 64 name on the board, in Round 4, Pick 9.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They are betting Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick37
Rnd2
Keon Coleman
By-the-book stuff, Keon Coleman at pick 37 squarely in line with his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
Pick69
Rnd3
Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock at the 69th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick109
Rnd4
Devontez Walker
Devontez Walker at No. 109 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick121
Rnd4
Theo Johnson
Theo Johnson in slot 121 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
