The phones were a trap the Lions kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. That McClellan pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

They will need Murphy to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
