Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall A-
ValueA- NeedA- TradesA+ FutureB-
The Broncos let Schwesinger fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

Somebody in the Round 6 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Broncos sat still while Carson Schwesinger, the No. 87 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Broncos clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, with Tyler Warren leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
A tidy little value on Tyler Warren in Round 1, Pick 20, a step better than break-even. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick51 Rnd2 Derrick Harmon
Derrick Harmon in No. 51 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick121 Rnd4 Dylan Sampson
You do not let a running back like Dylan Sampson reach the Round 4 slot and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick193 Rnd6 Carson Schwesinger
The board fumbled Carson Schwesinger all the way to slot 193, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick210 Rnd6 Smael Mondon Jr.
Somehow Smael Mondon Jr. was still sitting there in the 210th pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
