Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall D
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Seahawks lost the trade table, and the D tells the story.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Seahawks, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while wide receiver and running back went begging. Sweat has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.

Hicks at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.

Pick Analysis
Pick41 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
A real head-scratcher, T'Vondre Sweat in pick No. 41 is miles ahead of his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick57 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
They took Edgerrin Cooper at par in No. 57, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick59 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
Good price on Kingsley Suamataia in pick 59, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick62 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe at the 62nd overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick78 Rnd3 Maason Smith
A surprising call. With wide receiver and running back still to address, they spent Round 3, Pick 14 on Maason Smith, a DT-EDGE they were not short of.
Pick118 Rnd4 Jaden Hicks
Jaden Hicks slipping to slot 118 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick146 Rnd5 Ben Sinnott
They did well to land Ben Sinnott in the 146th pick, just ahead of his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick194 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
They paid sticker price for Jaylen Harrell in the Round 6 slot, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick236 Rnd7 Kurtis Rourke
A premium they did not need to pay, Kurtis Rourke a notch or two before his time. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
