VICCITYHAWKER DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
C-
ValueC
NeedB
TradesF
FutureB
The Seahawks lost the trade table, and the C- tells the story. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Seahawks reached some 68 spots for Hayden Hatten, and value like that does not grow back.
The Kinchens pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and running back still on the board.
The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
Pick Analysis
Pick48
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
T'Vondre Sweat in No. 48 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick59
Rnd2
Cooper Beebe
Value said wait; Cooper Beebe in pick No. 59 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick67
Rnd3
Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens at the 67th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick78
Rnd3
Sedrick Van Pran
They paid up for Sedrick Van Pran at pick 78 when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick81
Rnd3
Maason Smith
Of all the spots to shop, they chose DT-EDGE. Maason Smith in slot 81 leaves edge rusher and running back for later.
Pick87
Rnd3
Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at Round 3, Pick 24 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick110
Rnd4
Jordan Travis
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jordan Travis in pick No. 110, miles early. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick154
Rnd5
Cam Hart
They let Cam Hart come to them and pounced at No. 154. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick194
Rnd6
Michael Barrett
A slide stopped in the 194th overall pick, with Michael Barrett worth more than the price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick211
Rnd6
Christian Jones
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Christian Jones at the 211th pick is the proof. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick236
Rnd7
Tatum Bethune
A wild overpay on Tatum Bethune in Round 7, Pick 16, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick245
Rnd7
Hayden Hatten
They reached into another round for Hayden Hatten, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
