The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Marcus Epps pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

However the rest shakes out, Haynes at that price is a win they earned.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
