The Giants let Borregales fall and pounced. Final grade: A-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Giants were there to profit. Andres Borregales, the No. 147 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 7, Pick 40. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The Batty reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Giants clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
