The phones sank the 49ers this weekend: D.

There is reaching, and then there is Ty Robinson at Round 4, Pick 15. The 49ers jumped the board by 53 and dared it to prove them wrong. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They banked enough surplus on Nolen to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
