You can hear the double-takes from here. The Falcons took Tyler Batty at pick No. 157, roughly 74 spots before his name belonged. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

They banked enough surplus on Briningstool to cover a lot of smaller sins. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
