Drphil13 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Seahawks, and a B- to prove it. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Seahawks took Adam Randall a full 64 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
On value alone, Hill Jr. makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick46
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
Caleb Banks at Round 2, Pick 14 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick64
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
Circle this one: Anthony Hill Jr. at slot 64 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick77
Rnd3
Devin Moore
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Devin Moore. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick96
Rnd3
Keylan Rutledge
They talked themselves into Keylan Rutledge at the 96th overall pick, and the board did not agree. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick211
Rnd6
Adam Randall
Adam Randall at the 211th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick229
Rnd7
Jeff Caldwell
Jeff Caldwell at pick No. 229 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
