They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Michael Penix Jr. is the Seahawks' quarterback, full stop. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They are betting Bishop proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
