The Dolphins let Thornton Jr. fall and pounced. Final grade: B+. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Dont'e Thornton Jr. got past him. The Dolphins do not have to explain a thing at No. 226. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
With edge rusher and running back unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
