The Lions treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 249 on Charles Turner III a full 48 spots early.

King falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
