The Lions lost the trade table, and the B- tells the story.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Lions reached some 51 spots for Garrett Dellinger, and value like that does not grow back.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Getting McCord where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
