They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Everything downstream of Bo Nix depends on Bo Nix, and the building knows it. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

Mitchell at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
