McCarthy is the Cowboys' new face under center. Grade: D. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Cowboys, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.
The whole projection now runs through J.J. McCarthy; hit there and everything else looks smarter. If McCarthy pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Greenfield at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and tight end is still a hole.
