Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Cowboys were there to profit. Johnny Dixon, the No. 181 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 244th overall pick. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Drake Maye is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

If Tagovailoa pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
