The Cowboys treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending No. 186 on Jalen Catalon a full 32 spots early.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The whole projection now runs through Shedeur Sanders; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Egbuka falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
