The Cowboys answered their biggest question with Maye. Grade: D+.

The phones were a trap the Cowboys kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The process wobbled, and the D+ is where it lands.

Whatever Drake Maye becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. On value alone, McMillan makes the weekend a net positive.

They are betting Powers-Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
