Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B

The Bills let Reese fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Thirty-one other rooms let Arvell Reese slide, and the Bills were the ones holding the card at the Round 1 slot. Highway robbery. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They will need Igbinosun to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Adding A.J. Brown by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In pick No. 26 they get a green-dot type in the middle, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick60 Rnd2 Josiah Trotter
No drama and no debate, Josiah Trotter went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 28. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick92 Rnd3 Zachariah Branch
A slide stopped in pick 92, with Zachariah Branch worth more than the price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jalon Kilgore
Jalon Kilgore slipping to the Round 4 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick127 Rnd4 Tim Keenan III
Tim Keenan III in the 127th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick133 Rnd4 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at No. 133 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick220 Rnd7 Hykeem Williams
A conviction pick on Hykeem Williams at slot 220 that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick228 Rnd7 Keyron Crawford
A reach for Keyron Crawford in the 228th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
