The Falcons cashed the board's mistake on Green: B+.

You could see the war room lean forward. Renardo Green at the Round 4 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Falcons clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
