Shough should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a A-.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Tyler Shough, the Round 7 slot, roughly 79 picks past where he belonged. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In the end it comes back to Kenneth Grant, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
