Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB FutureB-
The Browns answered their biggest question with Dart. Grade: B.

The search is over. The Browns handed the keys to Jaxson Dart, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Riley. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The cost of the Matavao reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Mason Graham
In pick No. 2 they get a load in the middle at fair value.
Pick28 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
In the 28th overall pick they get the face of the franchise, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick67 Rnd3 Quinshon Judkins
No drama and no debate, Quinshon Judkins went about where he belonged in slot 67. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick94 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
A tidy bit of business in the 94th pick, where Andrew Mukuba graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick104 Rnd4 Xavier Restrepo
Xavier Restrepo at Round 4, Pick 2 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick179 Rnd6 Connor Colby
They paid sticker price for Connor Colby in No. 179, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick192 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jaylen Reed. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick200 Rnd6 Quincy Riley
Quincy Riley at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick255 Rnd7 Moliki Matavao
They jumped the gun on Moliki Matavao, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
