The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Colts reached some 24 spots for Layden Robinson, and value like that does not grow back.

It is not that Jackson is a bad player; it is that the Colts had louder needs to answer first. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
