FutureA+
The Commanders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a A. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Mims falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In the end it comes back to Jayden Daniels, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In pick 8 they get a long-term answer under center at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick36
Rnd2
Amarius Mims
The board had Amarius Mims higher than No. 36, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick40
Rnd2
Chop Robinson
A reasonable price with a little left over, Chop Robinson in Round 2, Pick 8. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick43
Rnd2
Ja'Tavion Sanders
They paid sticker price for Ja'Tavion Sanders in the 43rd pick, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
