Some picks age like wine; Hayden Hatten at the 236th overall pick will need to, sitting 76 spots clear of his grade. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The veteran additions, Taylor Moton chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
