Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesC+ FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Ravens, and a B- to prove it.

The tape said wait; the Ravens did not. Malik Washington went at slot 253, a good 160 picks before the board was ready. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Getting Pearsall where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick40 Rnd2 Troy Franklin
Troy Franklin at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick64 Rnd2 Cooper DeJean
Cooper DeJean in the 64th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick95 Rnd3 Tyleik Williams
They did well to land Tyleik Williams in pick No. 95, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick108 Rnd4 Audric Estime
Audric Estime at Round 4, Pick 8 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
Pick114 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
A conviction pick on Mohamed Kamara at slot 114 that the board grades a round light. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick169 Rnd5 Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore in the 169th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick235 Rnd7 Ricky Pearsall
You do not let a wide receiver like Ricky Pearsall reach the 235th pick and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick253 Rnd7 Malik Washington
They talked themselves into Malik Washington at Round 7, Pick 33, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
