The tape said wait; the Broncos did not. Devin Leary went at the Round 7 slot, a good 46 picks before the board was ready. The final tally is a middling C.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. It is not that Stover is a bad player; it is that the Broncos had louder needs to answer first.

Hit on Keon Coleman and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
