The needs board said one thing and the Cardinals did another, using pick No. 104 on Caelen Carson while quarterback, running back and other spots waited.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Mahogany reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The Thomas Jr. pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
