A costly weekend of dealing drags the Broncos to a D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Broncos shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker. Every board in the league had Walker lower, and that gap is the story. Jones at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
