The Commanders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Commanders did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Getting Clark where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
