Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Seahawks kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

There is reaching, and then there is Michael Pratt at Round 2, Pick 26. The Seahawks jumped the board by 21 and dared it to prove them wrong. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. The McGlothern steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Bralen Trice
In the 26th overall pick they get a problem off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick58 Rnd2 Michael Pratt
This one needs a full-page explanation: Michael Pratt in slot 58, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick78 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
They paid up for Zak Zinter at the 78th pick when waiting would have done the job. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick81 Rnd3 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson in No. 81 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick118 Rnd4 Beaux Limmer
Beaux Limmer at Round 4, Pick 18 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick154 Rnd5 Jaylin Simpson
Value with a capital V on Jaylin Simpson in pick 154, a genuine coup. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick194 Rnd6 Bryson Nesbit
They paid sticker price for Bryson Nesbit in pick 194, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick236 Rnd7 Dwight McGlothern
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Dwight McGlothern in the Round 7 slot. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
