A costly weekend of dealing drags the 49ers to a D-.

The 49ers went off the board in a big way for Jack Westover, 45 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Tampa pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back still on the board.

Getting Ceaser where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
