Draft Grade — Bills
Overall D
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
The Bills bled value on every deal, hence the D.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Eric Watts in slot 200, a good 30 spots before the room expected him. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took McConkey.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Brian Thomas Jr.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Brian Thomas Jr. at Round 2, Pick 2. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick60 Rnd2 Ladd McConkey
You do not let a wide receiver like Ladd McConkey reach slot 60 and blink. They did not. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick68 Rnd3 Javon Bullard
A tidy bit of business in No. 68, where Javon Bullard graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick69 Rnd3 Ruke Orhorhoro
A tidy little value on Ruke Orhorhoro in pick No. 69, a step better than break-even. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick128 Rnd4 Mason McCormick
Mason McCormick in the 128th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick160 Rnd5 Nehemiah Pritchett
A slide stopped in the Round 5 slot, with Nehemiah Pritchett worth more than the price. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick163 Rnd5 Hunter Nourzad
Hunter Nourzad at the 163rd overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick189 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
A reach for Curtis Jacobs in the Round 6 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick200 Rnd6 Eric Watts
Eric Watts at Round 6, Pick 25 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick204 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
No edge and no loss on Jaylen Harrell in slot 204; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Pick248 Rnd7 Tyler Owens
Tyler Owens at pick 248 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
