Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Ravens to a D.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Ravens took Zeek Biggers a full 45 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

They banked enough surplus on Nelson to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In pick 27 they get a weapon on the perimeter at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick57 Rnd2 Jonah Savaiinaea
Jonah Savaiinaea slipping to No. 57 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick59 Rnd2 Trey Amos
Trey Amos slid further than he should have, and the Round 2 slot is lovely value for the cornerback. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick91 Rnd3 Kevin Winston Jr.
They paid sticker price for Kevin Winston Jr. in slot 91, and that is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick129 Rnd4 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
Antwaun Powell-Ryland at pick No. 129 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick183 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
A premium they did not need to pay, Oronde Gadsden II a notch or two before his time. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick203 Rnd6 Zeek Biggers
They reached a country mile for Zeek Biggers at slot 203, and the board is aghast. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick210 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
The board fumbled Jack Nelson all the way to Round 6, Pick 34, and they scooped it up. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick212 Rnd6 Shemar James
They left a pile of value on the table to take Shemar James this early at pick No. 212. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick243 Rnd7 Torricelli Simpkins III
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Torricelli Simpkins III. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
