Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Bears will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

Hawes has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Starks falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Nothing to complain about; Mason Graham went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Omarion Hampton
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Omarion Hampton at Round 2, Pick 7 is the proof. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick41 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
They read the board right and Malaki Starks was the payoff at pick No. 41. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.

Donovan Jackson slid further than he should have, and the 72nd overall pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.

A big swing on Seth McLaughlin at pick 148, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
