Nobody had Carson Steele this high, and it is not close. The Bills reached 22 spots to get him at pick No. 204. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
